Great stuff. Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm so glad you like my album. Progress is slow but I'm getting there! My pain is a lot better now - the nerve pain is being well controlled with the gabapentin and although my finger is still pretty painful I'm rubbing on the gel and hoping for the best! I am so delighted to hear the news of your mum. Having been through this myself, I know just how much it means to get the all-clear. Long may it continue! Scan anxiety is NOT something any of us enjoy. Give her a hug from me and my congratulations, and a happy time for you all in the coming weeks.

As for my photos - do you mean the manipulation of the photos, or what I did with the parchment paper? What I did with both was my own idea - I just thought it would be fun to do some Zentangles based on the photos and thought that if I traced them, I could get the benefits of both, combined in a single image, but in the book, you could lift up the parchment and see both separately. I then did some tracing without Zentangles (determined by the shapes of what I was tracing) and thought a bit of metallic colouring would enhance them further. This is definitely a technique worthy of further exploration. For the photo manipulations, I used Serif PagePlus (UK software company but available both sides of the pond) - cheaper by far than PhotoShop and does all the same stuff. I desaturated the pictures (made black and white) and then in some cases made them negative, or posterised them (reduced the palette) and then laid parchment paper over the printouts and traced them with my Zentangle pens. It would certainly be fun to try some fungi - such interesting shapes, and would certainly lend themselves to Zentangle.

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #18Shoshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028185699225457125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985198055979175156.post-43243020932929626552016-12-14T15:30:43.287-06:002016-12-14T15:30:43.287-06:00Love the cards - I usually stick washi down with l...Love the cards - I usually stick washi down with little dabs of gel medium or sometimes PVA glue and find that works very well.
Your icicles are just beautiful, and although I don't want snow as I just don't naturally stay upright on it, I would love icicles like yours!!
Hope you have a great week, and thanks for stopping by,
Diana #20Diana Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02475927836717719695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985198055979175156.post-33331582379028312692016-12-14T15:17:47.855-06:002016-12-14T15:17:47.855-06:00Love the icicles!!
