Daughter is leaving tomorrow for Washington D.C for three months. She is packing today. What a mess! There are piles of clothes everywhere. She is trying to decide what she will need and fit it in one suitcase. Today is going to be a rough day.
YESTERDAY we went to the Renaissance Faire in Holly, Michigan. What fun! The weather forecast wasn't good - 60% chance of rain. Luckily the weather people were wrong (is that a surprise?!) and it stayed dry all day. It was actually quite hot when we were watching the jousting.

New Blog
I haven't written for so long on my old blog that I've decided to start a new one. New beginning in my life, new blog. After ten years at my current job I packed it in and am now staying home. The job stressed me out, hubby and I had little time together and the money wasn't everything. Hubby has a pretty good job, kids are grown and two are paying rent (until they move out) and my Mum was sick so hubby and I made the decision for me to quit.
People weren't too sure I was actually going through with it. I had said I was going part-time before. This time I followed through. Eight weeks ago I quit my job. For seven weeks I was in England spending some quality time with my Mum. Now I'm back in the US and will start settling in to my 'new' life.
Will I grow bored?
People seem to think I'll get bored. I've got a list as long as my arm of things to do that haven't got done because hubby and I have both been working all the time. I haven't started on any. Daughter is home for a week before she starts her last semester at MSU - an internship in Washington D.C.
I will try to sort out this blog thing - post some pictures and have some sort of design to it in the next few days.
Today is wet and rainy. Tomorrow we are hoping to make a family trip to Holly Ren Faire - all five of us! Last trip before Daughter leaves.
