End of Week

I was going to post yesterday but the headache was lingering on and I just couldn't concentrate on a lot of anything. It was back again today. Sigh.

I managed to get out for a walk today, went to the shops to pick up a few bits and then home. I had lots of washing to do as I've been putting it off. Other than that, I didn't get a lot of anything done. The headache was still pounding. We had another round of pop-up storms but not a lot of relief from the humidity and heat. I don't have a lot planned for the weekend, so I'm going to try to catch-up on things I should have got done in the week.

The piles in the living room haven't gone down. Actually, I've added to it. Sigh. I thought I was done with the magazines, but while I was sorting through another storage area, I found a bunch more! I've started looking through them and will then pop in the recycle or donate.

I'm still determined to get rid of the living room piles. Three days to go.

This afternoon I messaged with sister. She has been having fun finding all the Hares on the Ipswich Art Trail this year. There are some really lovely ones. She sends me photos of the ones she's seen that she thinks I'll like. I'm hoping to see a few when I go visit next month.

There is one called The Memory Hare. She had Mum's name put on it. Made me a little sad, a little happy.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

  1. My grandmother, a wise old bird and one of the earlier lady doctors (she was born in around 1890) used to say that barometric pressure was responsible for aches and pains and headaches. I hope your headache wears off soon.
Meanwhile, you can enjoy your bonus treasure trove of magazines to flick through!

    1. Some storms came through Friday night and Saturday morning was actually the first day in a while that my head felt normal so I'm pretty sure she was right!
I did enjoy looking through the magazines and adding them to the recycle bin!

  2. I love the idea of the Memory Hare and the fact that your sister had your Mum's name on it.
I hope your headache goes away, soon.
You will get the living room piles taken care of, I know. I have a mountain to sort out in a corner of my bedroom! I had planned to work on it this week, but, the days are going faster than I like. I guess I'll have to work on it 15 minutes a day until it is taken care of.

    1. I can't wait to go see it in person when I visit my sister in August.
I'm doing well with the piles, but like you, I find the days going faster than I like!

  4. I have a plan to tackle a few things while a room is tore up, but my garbage cans are getting full.

    1. Thankfully, I'm donating more than putting in the bins, but I know at some point that's going to change. I haven't even tackled the really bad areas yet. Yikes.
Sounds like you are getting things done!

  5. I love the idea of a memory hare.. Are you likely to come up north when you're in England. You'd be very welcome to come for a cuppa.

    1. I was really pleased when I saw it. I know my sister misses Mum a lot especially as she was the one who spent the most time with her.
Aw that's really sweet! I wish I was up that way. I'd love to be able to see the miniature you're working on. I'm really impressed with all the work and details. It's really realistic! Sister is down in Ipswich.
