I'm Procrastinating the Days Away

Confession Time - I haven't been getting as much done over the last few days  weeks as I had hoped to. Hands up, I procrastinate far too much. I get sidetracked. A lot. Lists help. Sometimes. Lately some of it has been due to not feeling well. Thankfully, I'm on the mend now. There is a bit of lingering 'stuff' but, on the whole, I'm feeling a lot better than I was.

Today, I actually felt productive. I got quite a bit done. The house still could do with a good tidy. There are things - stuff actually - lingering in places where they shouldn't be. I am going to work on this in the next few days. I'm thinking we won't be going far this weekend. We have a camping trip coming up on the holiday weekend and the weekend after. These were booked at end of last year, when gas/petrol prices were a lower. With rising costs, we have to make choices, so driving too far this weekend won't happen. There are a couple of nice places we can go for a quick walk just to get out for a bit.

Tomorrow will be a walk, post office, house stuff, a bit of listing, tidying, talk to my sister and then some relaxing in the evening. Another day done and dusted.

Chilly, but sunny morning walk

  1. Sometimes the list is overwhelming! Shorter lists, and five-minute tasks help motivate me, plus rewards along the way... even stickers! Yeah, and I thought at nearly 70 I was a grown-up....

    1. I think I might have to try the five minute tasks. Perhaps I'd get more done!

  2. We don't have to hustle and bustle through every day. Take things at your own pace and enjoy life. (Talking to myself here, justifying my lack of get-up-and-go!)

  3. Give yourself grace and eventually you'll get your motivation back to set aside procrastination. I tell myself that whike tbis darn rib injury has me moving slow. The clutter will get to a point for me that Im genuinely bothered so will tackle with vengeance. ( or not, perhaos.) Even usi g points, gas has. Even well over $50to fill and thats not on empty. Hard to justify too many e tra drives.

    1. I hope you heal soon!
I'm going to try doing one thing extra each day and see where that gets me! Gas is so expensive. We're definitely curtailing a few trips we wanted to take.

  4. Those photos are beautiful I love the reflection of the clouds in the water. We all have times when we procrastinate especially when we don't feel well. It's so easy to take something out of the cupboard and not get it put back until there's several things out of the cupboard all over the place that need putting back. I'm glad to hear your energy is returning 😊

  5. Oh just look at that beautiful sky. That would lift anyone's mood. My decluttering has ground to a halt but I'm planning a really ruthless wardrobe declutter just as soon as the mood hits me.

    1. Decluttering is going very slowly. Sigh. I got some sleep last night so hoping that will help with the energy!

  6. Give yourself some grace while feeling under the weather. Glad you are starting to feel better, though. Enjoy your weekend.
