Our car journey went very well. It's always nice when the weather is good and the road conditions don't make the drive any longer than it already is! We have the route and stops down quite nicely now that we've done it a few times.
We arrived in time to pick up granddaughter from daycare and take her into town where the shops were having trick or treat. Daughter lives in a small town, so it didn't take long to walk around, but long enough for little legs. Baby A had so much fun. She was a little shy at first but by the end she was shouting Trick or Treat!
Later that evening, we went to another event in town, walking around a park where different organisations were handing out sweets and treats. There were so many children lined up! It took quite a while to get moving. Baby A had fun, but we all agreed it was probably the last time doing that one!
Saturday morning daughter and I went to an event at a coffee shop in her town where we sat and did a craft. It was a lot of fun. I don't think either one of us was sure what we were supposed to be creating - someone said something about a miniature fairy garden - but we had fun and it was good for just the two of us to be together.
Not great photos and they are a little hard to see, but as I said we had fun and it was free!
After that, it was off to a birthday party for some friends of my daughter. Busy. Busy. In the evening, SIL's mom and his older brother came over to spend some time with Baby A and help hand out the sweets. She did go to a couple of neighbouring houses to Trick or Treat but she was more interested in handing out the sweets so that's what we ended up doing.
She dressed up as Skye from Paw Patrol. It's her favourite thing at the moment.
We were really lucky that the rain held off - as it had been forecast!
