End of the Week

Thanks for the comments on the last post. I'm feeling a bit better. No worse and that's good!

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the US. We went over to MIL's. My sons both came. Daughter did a video call while we were there, so we got to see Baby A. I just wish we were closer so that we could spend at least some holidays with her. I suppose this is something that affects a lot of families. We had good food to eat and some good conversations. I think we were all ready to go to sleep by the time we came home!

This morning, I woke up to snow. Husband was home so he drove me over to Asylum Lake so I could take a walk. It was really snowy and cold. There were only a couple of people around, only a couple of people as crazy as I am!

There was still a bit of Autumn around in the midst of that snow. I was glad husband was home to drive me as there was quite a thick layer of ice on the roads under the snow.

Once I was done with the walk I came home again. Daughter and Baby A had the day off so we did another video call. I also chatted with my sister.

I was glad not to have to go anywhere else. The snow came down quite heavily. It was nice just to sit and look out the window and watch the snow fall. It looks to be more of the same through the weekend. I think winter has arrived. Our temps aren't supposed to get above freezing all week. Sigh.

I haven't got a lot done on the sorting end, but a new week will soon begin and I will start again!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Stay warm out of those freezing temps - we are a bit warmer than it has been - no frost this morning

  3. It looks so pretty, though I know ice and snow can be treacherous. Keep warm, keep well.

    1. It's lovely to just sit and look out of the window. I don't like driving in it. I can bundle up and mostly stay warm - it's all about the layers lol

    1. Thanks for the comment! More snow today. I'm sure it will be coming your way soon! I'm continuing on with the decluttering though it is slowing down. I too will begin again in the New Year. I love being able to have such good contact with family back home. It makes things a little easier especially at this time of year.
