I'm not quite sure where September went. I am putting a line under it and starting anew this month with things around the house and being productive. I did absolutely no decluttering last month. I'm not going to beat myself up about it as I wasn't home a lot. October is a new month and a new start. We do have a couple of trips planned this month. Next weekend we are going away from Friday to Monday to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to go and see the Autumn colours. There are a lot of trees up there and the views are fantastic. Even though I've been away quite a bit, poor husband hasn't been, so he is looking forward to having a weekend away too! Later in the month is a planned visit to see Baby A and family. I'm going to fly there for a week and then husband is driving down for a long weekend, and I will go back with him. We are planning to be with them for Halloween. It should be fun!
The plans for October are to:
* Get back into the habit of meal planning each week - also goes with the next one.
* Watch my spending! This is a constant thing. I need to get into the habit of going out to shop as few times as possible and to write lists. Apart from food there is nothing I need, and I should try to remember that and not be tempted!
* Declutter - get back onto the wagon. I was in a really good groove before I went away!
* Get back into the craft room. Even though it is still warm, it should be cooling down soon. I really want to get up there and create.
* Start a new cross stitch project. I had a lot of fun stitching the piece for my sister before I went to visit her (and she really liked it!). I would like to start another and keep stitching it!
*Tidy up the problem areas again. I feel as though this should be a constant. The sooner I tidy these 'problem' areas up, things start to pile up again!
The decluttering is what I really want to work on!
Do you have October goals?
Photo for today - a Cedar Waxwing eating berries. I took this photo in Minnesota. There was one tree these birds really liked. There were quite a few of them stopping to eat berries
