A couple more ornaments made by Mother-in-Law. For the past few years, she's been giving out something she made and then some cash. She always tried to present the money in fun ways. One year she knitted all these little jumper ornaments, put money in them and sewed up the bottoms. Really fun!

More MIL ornaments
I honestly don't know where the day went today. I had definite things I wanted to get done but didn't manage to follow through. There was no wrapping at all done today which means I'm going to be wrapping tomorrow. It's not my favourite thing to do. It never has been. Daughter made me laugh yesterday as she sent me a text that said something like - Don't wrap. Just put our stuff in bags. Wrapping is horrible'. Lol. This is the first year they've had to wrap a lot of things for Baby A. Daughter says she is going to do a video call on Christmas Day so that's something to look forward to!

I'm thinking along the same lines as your daughter! I've got some tissue paper somewhere and the last batch of presents are going to be loosely wrapped in tissue and pushed into bags.
ReplyDeleteGone are the days of wrapping presents at 1am only to unwrap them a few hours later.
It's a shame those little jumpers are so small, I'd love to be able to wear any of them!
I did wrap. Sigh. It's all done.
DeleteHappy Christmas to you and the family!
Those little knitted tree decorations are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very Happy Christmas from Suffolk
Thank you Sue! Happy Christmas to you too.
DeleteMIL was so very talented.
The jumpers are wonderful and perfect memories. I use gift bags and tissue paper with not sticky tape, all can be recycled and much easier.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas. I try to use bags for life so people can re-purpose them. I do think I shall forgo most of the wrapping paper next year. It's such a waste.
DeleteThose little knitted jumper ornaments are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely and so very detailed
DeleteThey are beautiful little garments. She was a great knitter.
ReplyDeleteShe was very talented. Happy Christmas
DeleteWrapping is such a chore is true for me too. Your MIL was talented and what clever way to give gifts.
ReplyDeleteShe really was. I hope you manage to have a Happy Christmas
DeleteMy mother and I were talking yesterday through Facetime and we were talking about when we first came to Canada in 1989 and how at Christmas is was such a pain to get a "line" though to Canada from the UK on Christmas Day as all the lines were so busy. Nowadays we can talk to people overseas, whenever we want with no issues. How times have changed.
ReplyDeleteI remember that! It was always a struggle and I would wonder if I'd manage to get through.Happy Christmas
DeleteSorry I forgot to wish you Merry Christmas...
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope you and the family have a wonderful day
DeleteThose are adorable
