Sunday Adventure

We did go out on Sunday, but it snowed. Sigh. I really, really wanted to go further up the lakeshore, but there had been a bit of snow and the weather that way wasn't looking good, so we decided to cut it shorter. I really think we should have headed south as there was sunshine! We saw a little of it as we travelled along but then we went into the snow which wasn't good. The roads were pretty horrible. Sigh. Maybe next weekend I'll get to go where I wanted to lol.

Sunshine and Snow

Pancake ice beginning to form on the lake. It's quite early for this.

Bench buried by snow

We got out for a bit and did take a little walk when we got back into town. It's nice to go out together for a bit even if we don't see much or go far.

It's been a cold week so far but temps are supposed to at least get above freezing for the next couple days!

How has the weather been in your part of the world?

  1. No exciting weather like that in Suffolk - just the normal.

  2. Lovely photos of the sunshine and snow and pancake ice! The weather over here has been delightful! Sunny and in the 70s. :)

  3. I love the second picture, so atmospheric. I can't imagine the cold... it gets to about 2°C here and I'm huddled up indoors

    1. It's pretty cold, but being inside all the times drives me crazy after a while so I try to get out when I can.

  4. Good gracious - such a lot of snow. It looks lovely but not good for travelling.

    1. Luckily husband grew up here and is used to it so it doesn't seem to bother him at all!

  5. Today's supposed to be warm before another cold bought. I must get the dog and myself a good walk.

    1. That's how it was here. Unfortunately, that means the snow melted and it rained, froze to make ice and is now topped with another coating of snow!

  6. You capture the best images even in snow and ice.

  7. Beautiful photos! Here in Montreal, Canada, we had some very cold temperatures at minus 22 Celsius...but now that we are getting snow, the temperatures have risen to minus 6 up to zero Celsius. I do love the snow. :)
