Well, nobody wants to hear this, but more rain. Drizzly for yesterday's walk to start though the sun did come out later. Today, I got rained out and returned home. I think that might be the end of it for a while. Thankfully. We've lots of flooding in the lower areas of town. Luckily, we live on a hill, and things are holding up pretty well though the garden is a sopping mess.
As I said, I didn't last long on the walk this morning. I came home when the rain started. Husband and I ended up going to a shop he wanted to go for to get a tool he needed, and we stopped at a thrift store. I did find a nice book, but I forgot to take a photo so that will have to be another post.
When I came home, I tidied up a bit and did some listing, but weekends are for fun things, so I did a bit of this and that - a bit of reading, a bit of stitching, a bit of photography and listened to an audio book. Not a bad afternoon, quite relaxing
I'm trying some flat lay photography. This was one I took with my phone. I want to try something a bit different from what I usually do.
How is your weekend going? Any projects or plans in the works?

I'm sorry you got rained out when you went for your walk. But, it sounds like you got quite a few things done. Your cross stitch is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't too bad of a day
DeletePlenty going on in my head, but al activity wiped out by covid vaccination yesterday. So I'm sitting around, knitting etc
ReplyDeleteOh I do hope you're feeling better now. I'm behind on blogs so I'll have to toddle over and see.
DeleteI should dig out one of my cross stitch kits and get it started. They're so expensive to buy and have been sitting in my stash for so many years. I'd have bought that cottage book too. I really must get rid of some more books.
ReplyDeleteI have far too many cross stitch kits. Like you, a lot of mine have been sitting in my stash for years.
DeleteI've donated a few more books this month. I find them easier to get rid of lately. The craft things, I'm still struggling with!
Charity shops must make a huge profit on books, I always read and return book.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteStitch early for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSunshine in Suffolk - no rain in the forecast
I must admit that the cross stitch is driving me crazy. For something so little it's really fiddly. I think our rain is mostly done for now!
DeleteShame about the rain, but at least you found some entertaining things to do. I love your April book - so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteIs it just ne or has slapping "core" at the end of words gotten overused and tedious? I think I'd redonate as well. Yourcweekendcsounda like a good one for doing things you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's just you lol. There's cottagecore and grannycore (not really sure what either of them mean lol). The books are cheaper to buy, look at and re-donate than buying a magazine!
