WOYWW February 10th

Wednesday again. Time to join with Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Woke up to snow this morning. Quite a lot. Didn't think it was supposed to snow. Shows how much I know! Or how much attention I pay to the weather forecast. I'm supposed to have a lunch today with some old work friends - we have been getting together once a month - but there looks to be a lot of snow so maybe not.

My desk doesn't have that much on it today. I am finishing up another mini-album and there are a couple of bits and bobs in the background.

I need to tidy it up a bit as there are finishes in the background that I need to put away lol. Still haven't found the scissors but I did break something else - my paper cutter. It fell off my desk, hit the wood floor and broke. Sigh. Another thing to replace. Luckily it was not that expensive and I'll probably find a coupon somewhere.

  3. I know it can be a great inconvenience - especially when unexpected... but how wonderful to wake up to a snowy day :) Here, I just wake up to a soggy garden and muddy animal paw prints on my desk :)
    Have a wonderful Wednesday

  6. I really miss snow - we don't seem to get it very often nowadays in the UK, esp. where we are, where it is so mild. For me snow is magical! Sorry to hear you broke your paper cutter and hope you get another one soon. Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm glad you like my fun cats! My super-duper new flower stamps arrived today so I must do a "new stash" post soon!! Everybody loves new stash, don't they.

    Happy WOYWW,

  8. Hi Sharon, I love those mini albums you're working on. Great colours and they look so neat and professional. Nuisance about your paper trimmer, I'm on my third one now - none of them broke but they never seemed to actually cut straight lines and square corners. I hope you can find one that works for you!

Hope you enjoyed lunch if you managed to make it through the snow.

Thanks for your visit today. Have a creative week. Hugs MMx #32

  9. So annoying when tools go missing or break. It was probably time for a new paper cutter anyway... or at least that's what I'd tell myself if I were in your shoes. Lots of nice albums on your desk. PJ #53

  10. Lovely card you did yesterday I can see it still on your desk. I don't usually recognise things that card makers have on their desk but i have actually got a paper cutter. Hope you get a good deal on one. Good luck with the albums x Jackie 28

  13. I'm sorry to hear about your broken paper trimmer. It is such an essential for paper crafters, I wouldn't know what to do without one. Thanks for your visit and Happy WOYWW!

  15. Sorry to hear you broke your cutter. How annoying! And lost scissors. But it's another excuse to go to the scrap store....
    Your mini albums look great.
Oh dear, snow. I hope it's not too bad and you will be able to meet with your work friends.
Thank you for you lovely comment,
    Have a good week,

  16. Hey Sharon, thanks for the visit. I am laughing about that Hunk image..I got a lot of comments about him! He's actually a birthday card for a friend that was one of my Juniors and is very buff and gay LOL. Gah..that is not good re: your trimmer. I suggest a Dahle trimmer, should be able to get one off of Amazon. I have had mine for nearly 10 years, they come with a lifetime guarantee, I have dropped it, kicked it, accidentally put furniture on it and it's still intact. I hate that waking up to snow nonsense. ugh. Claire x #46

  18. Have you ever noticed that things go wrong in threes? I swear it's true! Hope you can replace the paper cutter soon - a girl needs her paper cutter! Enjoy the snow while it lasts - and I'm not saying that sarcastically. It would be nice to have some here - preferably when we don't have to go anywhere. Happy WOYWW - thanks for visiting earlier!zsuzsa #36

  23. We had 30 some odd inches of snow recently, but then it got warm and it melted mostly. Then the last couple of days another 4 or so inches but most of that melted. Now they are saying bitter cold, another 'Polar Vortex' and more snow. I'm staying in for sure! Sorry about your paper cutter, I'd cry if I broke mine, they don't make it anymore and it's the first one I've ever had that didn't shift and leave me with crooked cuts! Thanks for the well wishes and the visit.

  25. The mini album looks lovely so far - I like the papers you are using. What a nuisance about your paper cutter - I don't think I could manage without one now - I always used to swear by a steel rule and a craft knife, but I didn't realise how much easier it was with a cutter. Hope you find a good deal on one.
Thanks for the visit and hope you have a great week,

  26. Oh Sharon, sorry about a cutter break :( I recommend a guillotine by Xcut, Julia had one on her desk, they're great, sturdy too.
I love mine not quite the same but similar.
Happy WOYWW, thanks for popping over!

  31. Hi Sharon,

Hasn't Michigan been getting a lot of snow this year? We could certainly use some here (I'm wearing sandals today even though it's not that warm). Your mini-book looks nice. Such a neat, busy desk!

Happy belated WOYWW and thanks for visiting me already!
    Hugs,

  32. Oh Dear ... to the snow and the broken cutter. That is not good. I hope my new cutter does not break if it hits the floor, I will be so disappointed. Perhaps I need to revise where I have put it.
    Thanks for the warning.
Hugs & Thanks for the visit
