WOYWW - A hot one!

It's Wednesday again and I've finally taken a (bad) phone photo of my desk to join in with the gang over at Stamping Ground for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It's a hot one here in Michigan. It's been hot the last few days. Really need a break from it. It's been up in the 30s (90s) in the daytime and only down in the 20s (70s) at night. I could handle the day if the night was cooler. It was so muggy last night I kept waking up looking at the clock. Ug. We're camping up north next week so it will definitely be cooler.

Here's the bad phone photo of my desk. My craft room is upstairs and it's been so hot I haven't spent a lot of time up there. Please forgive the mess!

It's a long view of the desk and you can see the mess in all its glory. Usually I only take a pic of the bit in the middle where I'm working but there isn't a lot going on right now. I'm stamping out some sentiments and images from some kits I bought from Unity Stamps. I am going to clean up - I am.

I've been taking walks early in the morning (look at previous posts if interested). There is lots going on at the lake right now. So many different animals and things growing. Yesterday I saw these two bucks and a doe. They were weary of  me but not outright scared. I managed to take this of one of the bucks. Such a magnificent creature!

I've been posting some of my nature photos on my instagram account too. https://www.instagram.com/sharonkoole/

I'm going to get some things done early before the heat sets in and then I'll pop around desks. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to!

  4. Oh, great pic of the deer! I think I'd be getting up early to avoid the hot weather too. I'm not good in high temps, must be viking blood in me or something. And your desk isn't that bad, I've seen a lot worse, lol :-D. Have a great time camping...

  7. Hi Sharon - funny how I long for the heat and you want to get out of it. Mind you 90 is a bit much and 70 at night - think I will stop moaning about the dismal days here in the north. Saying that it is sunny right now.
Love the photo of the buck - how lucky to see something like that when you are walking.
Have a lovely time camping up north and get some good sleep nights in store for when you come back home.
Hugs & Thanks for the visit - Neet 7 xx

  8. Hello Sharon!
My phone didn't show the pictures I took this morning of my desk - not sure why. It did show a picture of a buck I took in my backyard (this morning) though! What's up with that??? Maybe my phone was shaming me on my messy space.

The heat is crazy right now. We are having record breaking temperatures daily.

    Happy WOYWW

  10. Well, I guess that is one good thing about having my craft room in the basement, it is cooler down there! Your deer photo is beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my place earlier, Sharon!

  11. It's heating up in the UK too - but luckily it never gets too hot for too long around here. That's something I don't miss from the continental climate I grew up in - you could have 30+ temperatures for weeks in July and August. That deer must be very young - his antlers are not fully developed yet. I go to the local deer park regularly - some of them let you walk up to them quite close, usually the younger ones. The older ones are more weary of humans. Thanks for visiting earlier - keep cool! zsuzsa #28

  12. They are both fun shots. I always like seeing the long views of desks because, I think most people tend to make a cleaner spot in the middles to work on you know? ( so the piles happen on the edges) Love the shot of the buck!

Is there a window upstairs is it possible to get one of those window AC? ( that is what I have because, once it hits 80 here it makes it perfectly miserable upstairs without it)

  13. Oh those antlers looks like velvet super photo. I think your desk shows some great production going on, shame it is so hot for you, getting like that here in the UK - LOL. Thanks for visiting me BJ#5

  14. Creative spaces should be a bit messy, in my opinion! Great picture of the buck - don't see many deer in my area. It's in the low to mid 90s, here; I finally removed my socks! LOL.

  16. Nice busy desk, Sharon, and the deer photo is stunning. Such beautiful creatures. Thank you for your lovely comment - I thought the new water feature looked like a hat, too - it will probably look even more like one once the flowers have all grown! Very sad to report that my hubby had to take Beatrice in to the vet on Wednesday afternoon and have her put to sleep. Phoebe's passing sent her into a decline and the last 3 or 4 days we couldn't persuade her to eat anything and she seemed to have given up the will to live. We thought we'd lose them both this year but never thought it would be in the short space of 3 weeks and we are feeling so lost without them, and the house feels horrible with no kitties in it. We are busy looking for 2 new little babies to lavish our love on.
