Husband and son went out this afternoon, and I took advantage of the empty house to get a bit of sorting and reorganising done. I feel quite productive - especially for a Saturday lol. I also took a nice long bath while they were gone.
As I write this, it's snowing a bit outside. I'm hoping there isn't too much of it so we can go out in the morning. The winds are supposed to be back tomorrow and I'm hoping to go up the lakeshore to take some photos of one of the lighthouses in the wind. Fingers crossed that the weather will co-operate. It's hit and miss in the winter. I don't think the weather people really know what it's going to do. I think part of that is being so close to the lakeshore and the lake-effect snow showers that come with it.
Things that made me smile today
A peaceful start to the day
A nice bath
Reading through my favourite magazines - decluttering them as I go - and having a chocolate (or two!)
Have you got plans for the weekend?

It's a wet dull day here, no snow, so inside all day, I have reading and some knitting to do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect way to spend the day!
DeleteA long, hot bath sounds wonderful. I haven't had a bath for years. 😳
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love them. They warm me up from the inside out on really cold days lol
DeleteDull Day used to feel negative but now, I'm appreciating it means no expectations and only doing what I feel must or I want to get done. I'm very much in a hibernating mode but if it gets as nice as they say, should get out and about. My camera still has not turned up and I'd like to play with it. I'm now worried I accidentally purged it.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope you find the camera and are able to get out and use it (if the days are warmer of course!)
DeleteThe daily round of meal-making, reading... chilling out, except I'm keeping nice and warm!
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect!
DeleteChilling a bit here. Finally got caught up with chores. Hope the weather is good for your photos today.
ReplyDeleteIt snowed again. Sigh. But we did get out.
DeleteI plan to lallygag away this last week before I jump back in to going to my storefront/office space. I love January for this reason - no one expects too much especially this year with recovery from broken leg. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend!
DeleteYou take such beautiful pictures of the lake. I hope you were able to have a lovely day on Sunday and the weather cooperated with your plans. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
