WOYWW New Year

I'm joining up with Julia over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. I haven't been up to a lot creatively this week though I am still taking photos for the 366 challenge. Yes, I've lasted a whole six days lol.

I am still working on getting stuff up into my new craft room. I haven't decided on a desk yet. For now I'm working on a table. It is actually working quite well. I might just use the money for a new computer as my computer broke - as well as my Kindle. I contacted Amazon who was quite helpful  but didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know. However they did give me a small credit towards a new Kindle which I have now purchased. It's not as fancy as my old 8.9 HDX but it will do. I use my Kindle a lot.

Anyway now onto my desk. I've included a couple of pictures of the rest of the room. It's getting there. I am pulling out a project so hopefully next week I'll have more to show!

I did not realise I had so many craft books! YIKES!

I still have some of my daughter's things - boxed up and ready to go. Lol.

I'm off to look around at some of the other desks

  1. Like the look of your new craft room - what fun. I still have a few bits and pieces belonging to my sons - it's all going back to them this year - I'm on a mission :-) Anne x #34

  3. It's a good job I've given myself the whole of January to sort and rearrange my space as day two was rubbish. All I seemed to do was give it a good coat of looking at haha

  12. I loved sorting out my studio after we moved, and getting everything organised. For some time, though, I couldn't find ANYTHING and everything took four times as long to achieve as a result lol! I love yours so far, and I look forward to when you share some more pics of your progress. Thanks for your visit and your kind words - you are right - chemo really takes it out of you! I had all sorts of plans of stuff I was going to do and just felt too ill to do any of it! I am so glad it's all over now.

    Happy WOYWW,

  16. I had planned to visit sooner, but not too long after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone.

You have an absolutely wonderful layout so far. I am truly impressed. You warned me stamping can be addicting, but I don't think so until I get some stamp pads, which are apparently needed for stamping (grin).

Thanks for visiting me while I was offline freezing in the dark (sad, but true, I hate to admit). Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #1.

  21. Happy New Year Sharon! Your new space looks lovely - I actually like the purple/lavender walls (and I'm not a 'purple lover' even...) About the bookbinding technique you asked: it's not difficult to do at all! I teach the technique in live workshops and plan on making a new online workshop including this binding, but you can also learn it over at LK Ludwig - her workshop is called "Just Three Journals" http://gryphonsfeather.typepad.com/thegryphonsfeatherstudio/just-three-journals.html ) Happy (belated) woyww and have a great weekend! 22. Your new crafty space looks great. Very modern and clean. Sometimes you have to work in it to decide what works best don't you. Glad you got your kindle sorted. I must admit I still prefer proper books, despite the space they take up. Thanks for visiting me earlier. I am very late catching up this week.
