Brrrr. It's cold here in Michigan on this Wednesday. I'm joining up with Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. To be honest it's been cold all week. A little whine here - I'm tired of being cold. The other day I just could not get my feet warm. It didn't matter what I did just couldn't get warm. The only good thing is that my craft room is quite warm.
Now what's on my desk this week? I've finished up a couple of books and have moved on to some stamped images I am going to colour and put on cards. My friend has a birthday coming up at the beginning of February so I'd like to make her a fun card.
I ended up with a new set of colouring pencils at Christmas as I'd originally purchased them for daughter and ended up getting a great price on a larger set for her so, of course, I had to keep these for myself. Lol.
I'm off to see what everyone else is up to. Hopefully someone will be somewhere warm and I'll be able to see a little sunshine. I want to thank everyone for visiting and for their kind comments.
Well that seems perfectly reasonable to keep them for yourself, what any sensible person would do! There really isn't anything better than a fresh tin full of sharp colored pencils. Except maybe a fresh box of crayons . . .

Those crayons look very much like my set back home - I love them! Enjoy using them when you stop looking and stroking them (just thinking about what I do - they are wonderful to look at).
ReplyDeleteHugs and thanks for visiting when I was asleep, Neet 3 xx
Wow! An even larger set? Is that possible? It's probably a good thing there aren't any art shops around here or I'd be buying coloured pencils all the time. Your daughter is a lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting already,
Have a good week,
Lisca
You can't have enough pencils. Keep warm and have a creative week. Jackie x 32

ReplyDeleteOooh just look at those juicy colours! Gorgeous! You will have lots of fun using those. Thank you for your lovely comment. We are so relieved my hubby is OK. He was told to rest today but all he has done is work hard in the garden lol! I've just updated my blog with what he's been up to and I'm quite excited about it. It's really cold today so he's done well. Glad you like my knitting and my chicken packaging!

It looks like you are definitely colder than us looking at the photo from your last post. It's been beautiful and sunny here today which really helps. Your pencils look beautiful. I've just got into colouring with them myself, it's so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier. We have always had 2 cats but unfortunately one of them passed away just before Christmas so our remaining one is used to sharing although she is a bit put out at the minute with our new arrival. I think she was enjoying being spoilt!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. I hope you have managed to warm up. It is cold in Pembrokeshire today, but still milder than many places. We have the fire lit, as usual, but I also have my heated throw over me. Nice pencils. Ali x #45
ReplyDeleteMmmm, lovely pencils. I know the need to keep warm, its been very chilly here for a couple of days, the woodburner and sofa keep calling me! Thanks for popping by my blog today. Elaine
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon. Thanks so much for stopping by earlier. I'm also constantly cold at the moment. Not enjoying the rather miserable weather in my little corner of the world. But it affords us a lot of excuses not to leave the house - which does mean more crafting. And tea. There can never be too much crafting and tea!
ReplyDeleteHope your feet warm up soon!

Hello fellow Michigander! Tried finding your email on your Profile but not there. Could you take a minute and email me (top of my blog). It would be great to meet up. The colored pencils are a great gift. Having so many colors makes the coloring more enjoyable. keep warm! Diane 70

ReplyDeleteI love coloured pencils neatly laid out! I have several sets myself, but never use them! They're too pretty! I sometimes get chilled to the bone too, especially sitting by the computer, and only two things can help 1) hoovering the whole house 2) a hot bath. And you know which one I prefer! Stay warm! Thanks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #47
ReplyDeleteI love crafting for getting me warm - my table lamp generates a lot of heat and if I really need a boost, I do some heat embossing and really warm things up! I love the look of your pencils

ReplyDeleteI ended up buying Prismacolour brand. I like them. They seem to blend well though I'm no expert! I bought a larger set of the same kind for my daughter who likes to colour. She says they blend well too.
