WOYWW

It's Wednesday again! Yikes, where did the week go?

I'm joining Julia over at Stamping Ground for another WOYWW.

There isn't a lot on my desk (table) this week. Now that daughter is mostly moved out I am trying to sort through my craft stuff and get it moved up to my 'new' room. I get to pick out a desk (hubby's gift to me). Unfortunately the one I want is not in stock :( I did get other crafty storage to get started on. That's what's on my desk today. Putting together paper organiser and sorting out paper.

Who knew that putting together those organisers could be so difficult?!!! You needed STRENGTH to push those things together.

I have decided that I have a LOT of stuff. It has been stashed all over the place as I did not have my own room. Pulling it out and seeing it all has made me think that I don't need to buy any more crafty stuff for a while!! I have a couple of card making/scrapbooking glue-type things to replace as I used them all at Christmas, but a part from that I am not going to buy anything. I love shopping for crafty supplies - as I'm sure many of you can understand lol - but I am going to set myself a short-term goal NOT to buy anything (except what I've said) for the whole month of January. I can probably go a lot longer (and will) but I like setting short-term goals as they are more manageable to me.

Anybody have any goals they are setting for themselves? I want to participate in a couple of challenges for 2016 but haven't seen many yet.

Well off to go look around.

  2. A new desk - fabulous! I have to finish clearing my dining table off after the entertaining ( it's only used on high days and holidays so makes sense to use for crafting) before I can get going again. I reckon if I didn't ever buy anything else I'd have enough - but if I carry on holding classes ( trying to decide)then I have to vary it a bit. Happy New Year Anne x #17

  3. How nice to be looking forward to a new craft room - it's a great feeling getting things organised isn't it - it's also a great way of discovering stuff you'd forgotten you had! Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier, hope you have a great week,

  5. I said the same last December and have done pretty well this year in busting my stash. Now I'm not doing craft fairs anymore, I can't justify buying lots of fabric and have had to be inventive instead. So well done you!
Happy New Year, hope it's a good one :-)

  6. You're going to have your own crafting space....hip hip hooray. I agree with the addictive behavior we get caught up in. We should shop our own stuff. I've already spent all I plan to. Now I'm going to play with fun tools. Happy New Year! Carole 33

  11. I could prolly last till I'm 60 before needing anything. Except glue and tape! I admire your resolve...and being a window shopper is no bad thing, I found last year that it made me very resourceful with my existing stash. Good luck!
