WOYWW Jan 27th

Another Wednesday again. Here we are again checking out what's on my desk while I check in with Julia over at Stamping Ground for What's on your Workdesk Wednesday. It's a great way to take a look around and see what others are up to.

It's still freezing cold here in Michigan though temps are supposed to get above freezing this week! Wow! Doubt that will last. My daughter says she might come visit today depending on the roads. She lives about an hour and a half away. If she does we'll be out and about so I'll be checking out desks later on.

Anyway enough babbling. Here's what's on my desk mid-week this week.

There are a stack of stamped images waiting to be coloured. There are a couple of completed stamps ready to be putting on cards and there are a few mini-albums in progress. What does that mean? Lots of things started and not any of them finished!!!! Aarrrgggg.

I started working on some mini-albums, decided I would use my decorative edge scissors and can I find them? NOPE! No clue at all where they are. I used them just before Christmas so I know they are around here somewhere. If only I could find them.......

  1. Hi, Sharon, hope you find your scissors soon. I moved some things around in my space and I keep looking in the old spot for them. I like those stamped images of the girls and got a smile out of your sentiment -- I assume it will go with the blue monster? Happy WOYWW from Laura #45

  2. I hope your daughter gets through to visit you. Love the look of those images you have stamped out. I bet you find your scissors in the strangest place, that's where I usually find long lost things.
    Thanks for visiting earlier

  4. So annoying when you know something is there but you can't find it. bad fairies take things and hide them I guess.
If it is any consolation it is cool here in CA.

  5. Have you checked down the sides of your desk? That's where I found a lovely paper pad I had lost (and forgotten about) last WOYWW! I hope you find them :)

  7. "Lots of things started . . ."

That sounds very familiar! We all suffer from that occasionally, don't we? :)

  9. Ah Sharon, the scissors will turn up when you decide not to use them! I've just got round to colouring images that I stamped out about a year ago, I'm hopeless at making the most of multiples! When (and no pressure AT ALL) you've finished, don't forget to show us!

  10. I hope you find your deco scissors soon, that is so annoying. I had cut apart some of this bitty dies (months ago) and one went flinging into the universe... I found the die when I was moving paints the other day, and I'll be danged if I can remember which set it goes to. ha :) ~Stacy #59

  11. I hope your daughter gets through safely, and also that you will find those scissors! I totally identify with that. I can never find anything when I need it.
The stamped images look great and I like the quote about eating the bird...
Thank you for taking the trouble to visit and for your sweet comment.

  14. Staying indoors in the warm seems to be a good option when the weather is bad and sitting colouring images is lovely stress reducing way to spend the time. You tidied up didn't you? That's why you can't find the scissors! LOL It happens to me more times than I like to admit! Annette #31

  17. You do have a lot going on - but that adds variety to life! I love the stamped images and I hope you find your scissor soon - there's a black hole in my studio where things disappear to - I'll discover it one day but for now it's a mystery! Hope you have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by earlier.

  18. Lots going on there, Sharon! I know that frustrating feeling when you can't find things... After we first moved and I got my new studio, for the first few months I couldn't find anything and everything took several times as long to do because most of the time was spent looking for things! Now that things do have their proper place, as long as I remember to put them away (that's a biggie!) it's a lot better. However, recently I could NOT find my rolling pin! This was one of the things that had "migrated" to the studio from the kitchen some time ago, only to disappear without trace, and to make my mince pies I had to use a bottle to roll out the pastry!

Hope the weather hasn't prevented your family get-together. It's pretty mild here, and after several days of heavy rain and high winds, today is sunny and clear - lovely! Maybe spring is on the way after all.

Thank you for your lovely comment - good advice which I am already keeping to! It's lovely just feeling free to do what I want at the moment with my creativity.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi #24

  21. Don't you just hate it when you can't find your supplies! Some of my stencils went missing mysteriously like a year ago and I still haven't found them. They might be stacked between sheets of papers somewhere or I might have even unwittingly thrown them away! Thanks for visiting earlier! Hope the weather gets a bit warmer for you. It's quite mild here in Britain for now. In fact, it felt positively Springy this morning. Have a great week! Zsuzsa #38

    1. I lost one of my favorite stencils that way! I had stuck it between sheets of over-spray paper and put it away. I did finally find it... about a year later!

  24. Ahh the joy of missing stash! I feel your pain having spent 20 minutes looking for my peel off box, I use it so rarely that I can never remember where it is. Hope the weather doesn't get too horrible for you. Cara x

  26. Here in Southern AZ we were cheering that this weekend brings temps in the upper 70s. That's more like what we are used to. However, Monday says 54. What the...?! Mother Nature is crazy! I had to laugh that your pile of images shows all these people being windblown. I think the weather has influenced you. I too have a bunch of stuff started and almost nothing completed. It happens sometimes. Thanks for the visit earlier! PJ #57

  27. I'm sure your scissors will turn up before you know it! I can't wait to see your projects once they're completed. Fun space you have. :)

  28. Hi Sharon, oh no! lost scissors!! I hate when that happens - sometimes it turns out that someone has "tidied them away" for me :o) hehehe!! enjoy colouring your stamped images, they look fun. Annie C #36

  29. I do hope you find those scissors soon, I suspect they are either looking at you or somebody's borrowed them and not put them back (that's what usually happens at my place anyway!). Thanks for the lovely comments and they are drawers stacked on my desk, I try to keep things in there that I use regularly though they do often become a dumping ground for all sorts. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 29

    1. I found neither. I am just going to let it go. The scissors will probably turn up when I stop looking for them. I won't buy anymore to replace as I know that as soon as I do they'll show up!
