Wednesday rolling around and it's time for Julia over at Stamping Ground to host another weekly visit around to desks all over the world to see what others are getting up to. It's a lovely place to join in and share what you've been up to and perhaps gather some inspiration.
My desk has seen a little action this week though not as much as I hoped. I spent Tuesday checking out some videos for inspiration so, hopefully, next week I'll have something to show. I had pulled out some photos I took in England at my favourite park and was going to journal about them in a Project Life page, but when I looked I had every page layout except the one I wanted! I'm got some re-thinking to do.
I was listening to Radio Suffolk on my computer as I played. I have a mini-album ready to go once I make the pages. You can see some mini easels I found at Walmart. I had used one for my phone!
As you can see it isn't too exciting but I was just glad to be up there again. The weather is certainly cooling down the last couple of days so it was a little nicer to be up there. We did take a wonderful day trip to the lake Sunday (see post for pics). There is only one more trip on the horizon - a trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to see the colour changes of Autumn but that isn't for a couple of weeks. Our holiday fund is desperately in need of topping up!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week and thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I really appreciate them.
I love mini easels! I have a few of them myself. It's funny how they make even an ATC or tag look out of proportion! Never thought of using them for my phone, but will have to try now! Enjoy the cooler days. zsuzsa #22
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, Hope you manage to find the page LO.
ReplyDeleteLeaves on the trees here are changing colour, but also dropping. Cooler temps, although still getting the odd day or so that goes warmer.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

Hope you get to see your Autumnal changes. I love the colours of Autumn - my favourite season (except when we have to sweep the leaves in our garden, endless task). You make me want to take a trip to Betws y Coed in Wales. Lovely trip and the woods to walk through with the rustling leaves - bliss!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx (thanks for visiting me earlier)
I hope you get to see some stunning autumn colours on your trip, it's definitely getting autumnal over here too - my favourite time of year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit earlier, hope you have a great week,

ReplyDeleteHello Sharon. Isn't that always the way with layouts rethinking exactly what you intended to do. I feel I do that all the time and now my oldest wants to make another album but to be far I did most of the work lol I think she printed out the pictures but I did make her help more in the end....lol. Love those little easels you found and what a great idea to hold your phone. I think my youngest has one I might use for the same when I am crafting and how great the phone wouldn't get buried. Thanks for visiting me earlier and have a great week. Hugs ~Anne L#7
ReplyDeletebusy desk! I have a computer on one desk, iPad on the other, now I think I will have to steal your idea and use a little easel for my iPhone! Hope you have great trip and thanks for stopping by my desk earlier. Vickie #25
ReplyDeletei love those little easels and your desk is full of possibility! thanks for visiting mine.

I am amazed that you can work and craft in the same space. I tend to make such a mess that there is never enough room to set down a laptop on the craft table. :) ~Stacy #45 YAY for cooling temp's :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always the same with holidays, the moment you get back, you have to make plans straightaway to go away immediately!! I bet the trip to Michigan will be pretty special!
ReplyDeleteIt made me smile to think you're listening to Radio Suffolk when you're crafting in the US, the powert of the Internet eh?!
Hugs, LLJ 12 xxx
I too look online for inspiration, there are some gorgeous stuff out there that brings our mojo back and boy did I need to find my mojo. I also listen to our local ABC radio when crafting, I find the TV is more distracting and there are some wonderful stuff on radio

There is so much inspiring work on the internet that it's easy to spend hours looking but sometimes you just need something to get your Mojo back on track. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteFall is a coming a quickly and I love to see all the colours change :) I'm sure you'll be creating soon enough

How nice to make a trip to see the lovely Autumn colours! It's spring here, but feeling rather cool at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI didn't cut those flowers by hand. They are Altenew stamps and matching dies! Fabulous!
Sounds like a beautiful trip to see the autumn colours. Enjoy your week.

I love mini-easels too. I've got a beautiful antique one - delicate carved wood from Germany - it was really expensive on Ebay but I never regretted shelling out for it! Along with a little gold metal one, they are in my little gallery area in my studio, and I use them to display small art works, ATCs, etc., that people have sent me. Very precious!
ReplyDeleteI love autumn colours, too. I am enjoying working on my album. Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm glad you are enjoying my Zentangle tracings. It's such a fun technique to do and I recommend it to everyone! Do give it a try! I'm looking forward to my meeting and giving them all a laugh with my stoma cakes. I've had a lot of fun with Kermit (my stoma) and you have to keep a sense of humour about these things! There's a funny side to everything, even cancer and stomas, if you look for it!
Happy belated WOYWW and have a great week,
