Rainy Weekend

The weather has been terrible all weekend! I managed a little walk by myself yesterday but hubby and I didn't even go out today. It's rainy and dull and not worth bothering. Instead I stayed in and at least attempted to do something other than curl up in my chair and read (which is exactly the sort of day it is)! I went up to craft room and spent a little trying to create. I hope the week brings a little sunshine. I feel uninspired to take a lot of photos so tried to be a little creative in my photo taking of my crafts.

What do you do on rainy days to keep your spirits up? Is there some way you like to spend your time when there are several days in a row with rain or bad weather?

  1. I'm sorry it's raining so much, Sharon. It can be quite depressing, I''m sure. It doesn't rain all that much, over here, of course (but when it does, we have flooded streets and mudslides and all sorts of road accidents). On rainy days, I like to pretend I'm in England! :D I've heard that it rains a lot there! I like to bake when it rains, or do some of my crafts, or watch the news (we get 1/2 inch of rain and it's major news, here!) and knit. Curling up on a chair with a blanket and a book is a perfectly acceptable way to spend a rainy day, in my opinion. :)

  2. Here it was really wet on Saturday but yesterday was glorious and today is expected to be the same. I went for a splash in the rain on Saturday which was lovely.
When it's really dreadful outside, I like to read, craft, sort out or watch DVDs - there's always something to do.

  3. I don’t mind the rain as long as I don’t need to go out in it, it makes me feel cosy when I can stay inside, pottering about xx

  4. I'm the same as Cheryl. I love rainy days as long as I don't have to go out in it. I spent so many years walking or biking to work and back in the rain that it's great now to be able to stay indoors.

  5. I usually read or crochet and listen to BBC Radio 4. Some days I'm alright with it, but other days it is trying. Did not have very good weather on my UK trip, some days of sun but not as many as I would have liked and I was told it rained here in PA most of the time I was away. So do hope we get an Indian Summer, before winter sets in.

  6. I am quite happy to be indoors pottering with a craft project, a book, a jigsaw or a good film.
