What a Start to the Month!

I hope the first day of this month doesn't dictate how the rest of the month is going to go! I'm still battling my cold (which hubby thinks he might be coming down with), the weather was grey and dismal and one of the tyres on my card popped! I was very thankful that the tyre thing happened just as I was turning onto my road so managed to make it home. We really didn't want to put any extra money into the car as we were hoping it would just make it past the winter and were planning to buy a new-to-us car in the Spring. Unfortunately we will have to buy some new tyres. They won't be expensive ones lol. For now hubby changed out the flat one to the spare until he can get to buy some. He's working overtime again this week.

On to other things - I'm trying to get my crafting mojo back. I can't seem to get back into the groove and am finding it difficult to be inspired or get motivated. I did go up into my craft room and worked on my monthly album to try to catch up. I was going to knit or stitch when I came downstairs but Shadow (cat) wouldn't stop wanting to sit on me every time I picked something up. I think he's feeling a little sad or just plain feeling his age.

As the walk was dull and grey today I couldn't get many photos - the light wasn't right - but I did manage to see this little fellow. It is a wood chuck/ground hog.

  1. I'm glad the tyre didn't burst in a more dangerous situation and that you were able to get home easily. What a nuisance though!

  2. He's a cutie. Hate having to buy something for a car you're going to get rid of.

    1. I see them once in a while, but not often. To be honest I had to ask hubby what it was lol as I wasn't quite sure.

  3. I hope you're over your cold soon. Lily has been coughing during the night, so I have a feeling there is one on it's way here too.
Spending on a car is so frustrating, especially if you're wanting to sell it anyway. Hopefully it will see you through the Winter months now. X

    1. It seems to be that time of year, doesn't it? I don't think the up and down weather helps either. Hope Lily doesn't get too sick!

  4. Cars are absolute money pits aren't they and things always go wrong just when you could do without it.

    Love the groundhog photo.

    1. I really like this car. It's probably past it's use-by date, but I like driving it. It never has any problem starting - even when it's way below zero - but we'd already decided to buy something else.

  5. Sorry about the tire. The crafting mojo should pick up, or at least I hope so for me, once the holidays roll round. Rain and gloomy here too.
