Five on Friday

I'm late joining in with Five on Friday with FAST - Family Attempting to Survive the Times. I wasn't going to post as I didn't know what to post about but I went for a walk this morning so I thought I'd share some photos from my walk.

There was only a little snow left on the ground from yesterday's snow fall. It was mainly in car parks where it had been plowed to the side.

That's the only good thing about snowfall at this time of year. It usually doesn't stick around long as the temperatures fluctuate such a lot. Because of all the rain and then snow it was quite muddy out! Glad I wore my boots.

I was glad the sun was shining this morning. It's been another really dull week. I don't seem to have a lot of energy or ambition when it is dull and rainy. Next week looks to be a lot better - there is no rain forecast for next week as I write this so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

There isn't a lot growing as you can see. The trees are still bare and will be for a little while yet.

Surprise! Only one lone flower had blossomed. I'm sure the others won't be far behind! It is funny to see them growing randomly in the middle of the woods.

Even though there was quite a brisk breeze and it was still chilly I wasn't the only one enjoying the sun.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  2. I understand about lacking energy when it's dull and rainy out. I feel absolutely energized now that we have finally had just a few sunny days. Pretty pictures from your walk although yuck on the snow. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  5. I'm always surprised when I see snow and green grass in the same photo. Just doesn't compute. Love the bird. He looks all puffed up, like he wants the sun to reach through his feathers and warm his little body.

  7. It's lovely to see the sun after days of grey skies isn't it? Here, our daffs are going over and spring flowers are in bud, it's obviously a lot colder in Michigan.

  8. Hope that snow melts off soon! Glad you are having some sunshine. Hopefully the warmer weather won't be too far away. Lovely picture of the lake. And a daffodil! How pretty! The red-winged blackbird looks like he's ready for spring! Hope you have a fine weekend. Take care.

  10. Looks like it was a lovely day for a walk. So funny to see little spots of snow like that when there's green grass right next to it. I don't do well on gray days either.
