A Sunday Adventure

It was warm enough today that the snow was mostly melted and instead we had drizzle most of the day. The melting ice and snow had left little creations in the sand.  It was pretty calm on Lake Michigan today, but the winds of the past few days had made the pier very icy. We walked for a while until the ice was too dodgy and I didn't fancy falling over.  In these photos it looks brighter than it was, but luckily, we were able to walk in-between drizzly/rainy bits.

  1. Beautiful photos, as always. Glad it warmed up a bit and you were able to enjoy a nice walk in between the drizzle and rain. :)

  2. I find it a bit mind blowing to think of a lake so large you can't see the far shore. We walked along lake Ontario when we we were staying with friends and my mind kept insisting we were by the sea.

    1. It is amazing. A lot of our weather is caused by Lake Michigan too, especially in the winter. A lot of the snow we get is caused by the Lake, as well as the reason why we have so many cloudy days in winter! There are really wild waves on the Lake during stormy times too. It's as close to the sea as I get over here lol

  3. How quickly things change. I like the Christmas wreath on the bench.

    1. I'm not sure who puts one there, but there seems to be one there every year!
