WOYWW April 13th

The middle of April already? Wow, where is time going? It's Wednesday again and time to join Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground. It's time to visit desks around the world and see what's going on.

Here's mine. This is what it looked like late Tuesday night ready for Wednesday morning. I'm working on a couple of mini-albums. They are the waterfall pages ones. It's the first time I've made them and I like how they are turning out.

You can see tags on my desk too - working on cutting them out to fit in the front pocket - as seen. They will get decorated just checking they would fit!

There is also another box card on my desk - almost finished but sitting there waiting for inspiration - it needs another something just not sure what!

I finished my fairy cross stitch (see last post). It turned out well. Now I have to frame it. I started working on another one at night. This one is a Santoro kit I treated myself too while I was home visiting Mum last year. It's quite a large one so is going to take a while,

Hope everyone has a great week. I really enjoy visiting the other desks and appreciate all the comments left!

  1. Hi Sharon, love the colours in the waterfall card. Your mention of large cross stitch made me smile. I bought one for my DIL to be, must be three Christmases ago now. Didn't really look at the size- I just sort of assumed it was about A4 size. Bad mistake! It turned out to be about 2 1/2 foot wide, and 3 1/2 foot long! Fortunately she loved the design, and very graciously said she wanted a large piece to work on,lol.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #3 xxx

  4. Yes, your mini albums are turning out well. I also looked at your Saturday post to see the fairy. Beautiful! What a difference the back stitching makes.
I will go to Goodreads today and accept your friend invitation and also update my page as I have finished my book and have started another one. I have a Kindle and only buy 99p books. Amazon send me 3 special offers every day, and every now and then there is a book that catches my attention and I buy it.So the books I read are not on the bestseller list but very good books nevertheless. (well, most of them are very good).
Thanks for your visit and your kind comment,
    Happy WOYWW,

  20. Lovely albums, those purples are quite vibrant. I spy some tag dies--might have to look around to see if I can find some for my collection.
Your box card is very cheerful looking. I haven't tried making one of those yet. And cross stitch--forget about it, it would take me years just to finish a small one LOL.
    Thanks for your visit.

  24. Hello Sharon, thanks for visiting my blog this week, despite my prolonged absence!

I'm a fan of mini-albums, or anything book-related, so this waterfall album interests me very much. Now I want to make something similar myself! I like your colour choices and the watercolour a effect of the front cover. Also the button closure. A really nice project - but what will be on all those pages?

  25. The new cross stitch is looking somewhat rather special. Hope we get to see it when it is finished.
The mini book has me interested, are there instructions somewhere? I love the colours you are using for yours - striking but subtle.

  29. Thanks for the visit earlier Sharon. I LOVE that waterfall album, purple is my colour, I wish I had the patience for album making. The cross stitch is very cool..I might have to dig out some cross stitch, seen a lot of people with them recently, giving me itchy fingers. Cx #53

  30. that album looks crazy complicated to me ( WOW )
:) ( I am not a fan of having to think and follow directions of fancy folds but, it doesn't mean I don't really appreciate the work that goes into them when I see others do that, just WOW how cool. Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #48

  31. I love your mini-album and the colour scheme is great! I haven't done a waterfall album for years and they are such fun, and something that really impresses people too, because they can't work out how they work! I am also working on some cross stitch at the moment - it's my most notorious UFO (UnFinished Object) having been on the go for over 25 years lol lol! It's a Hebrew alphabet sampler and it's quite big, 18 stitches to the inch and I can no longer do it without a magnifier... anno Domini...

Thank you for your lovely comment, and we are hoping that Phoebe's increased dose will make a difference to the frequency of her seizures but it will take a little while to kick in. The decorating is finished now and I'm still bringing stuff back in in dribs and drabs and then I'll blog about it.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  35. Ooh, I do like the mini albums and the box card. Love the colours.
Thanks for visiting my page and your nice comments, and as for being without the internet on holiday, I've had the most appalling connection at home for the last two days, which is why I am so late returning to those who visit my page.
