Pulled in not too long ago - photos to follow! We had a really good drive until about 60 miles from home. Close to Lake Michigan it was snowing quite heavily and very difficult to see. Horrible drive. It cleared up probably 20 miles from home. I guess overall it was a really good drive considering it is January!
Glad you got there and back safe and sound
ReplyDeleteMe too! Pretty hairy that last part of the drive. We were really lucky that was the only snow we encountered!
DeleteHappy to hear that you had a safe journey. Wondering about the temperature in Minnesota - very cold here in the Midwest, down to 1F this morning and a little snow on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your photos.
It was really, really cold. One morning it was -13F (-25C) and that was without the wind chill. I was freezing. Yesterday my hair was freezing strands (and it wasn't even wet!).
DeleteGlad to hear you made the journey there and back, safely. Driving in a snow storm can be very scary! I remember one year, when my friend drove us back from her parents' home in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) to campus in Green Bay (Wisconsin) in a snow storm, close to blizzard conditions - the highway patrol was accompanying all the cars for several miles. It was practically white-out conditions. I was glad she was driving and not I!
