June Already!

I can't believe it's already June! Seems like not too long ago there was still snow on the ground and I was complaining about the long winter. The last few days it's been too hot and I've had to bite my tongue not to complain about the heat. It's cooled down a little today and it's nice to be able to turn the window air conditioner off and open the windows to let some fresh air in. There is a cool breeze in the air today. It didn't stop people being out and about when we went out for a walk.

It's going to be a lazy day today. I'm going to Skype with my Mum and spend the day either crafting or sorting things out. I want to get a few more things organised before I leave for my holiday with Mum. I can't believe there's only a few weeks before I leave! I can't wait.

Despite the heat the last few days I have been going for a walk. I was sad to see that the swans are down to only two babies. There were three earlier in the week and four when they were first born.

I suppose that's how nature is though. I wish I could get a little closer to them but they are sticking to the outer edges of Asylum Lake.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

  1. Hope you're enjoying your Skype and crafting day. Swans are so beautiful, so graceful xx

    1. I love swans. Unfortunately they are down to one baby now. It's really sad to see.

  2. It's either too cold or too hot, isn't it? Never a comfortable medium! I, too, can't believe it is June, already! Half the year will be gone before we know it! The swans are beautiful and I hope the remaining two babies will make it. Hope you had a nice day and a good week ahead.

    1. It's cooled down a little. Just my temperature now. Unfortunately the swans were down to one baby when I saw them this morning. Really sad.

  3. I had to bite my tongue too...but, it was unseasonably hot...we usually, gradually prepare for 95! Anyway, yes, that's the way of nature I guess...someone other species had their babies to feed too...

    1. I know! It seems we went from winter to full summer. Missed out on Spring completely. Usually I'm gone for the hotter weather lol. It's cooled down a little now.
