Ack it's rolled around again. Wednesday. Almost the middle of October and nothing remotely Christmas-like on my desk. Next week there will be. I think. I hope.
Anyway here's what my desk does look like this week
I have actually spent time up here this week! To the left you can see the spotted cover of the mini-album that I have almost finished. The cover only had been sitting on my desk since before I left. Yes, that long. There are some stamped images ready to colour and the stamps, cleaned and waiting to dry before being put back.
I have finished the pages and inserts for the mini-album I will be using to put my gargoyle pictures in. Now I have to get the pictures in it and decorate - not quite sure what I will decorate with.
Lastly I had to share these 'new' stamps I found. I think they've been around for a while, but they jumped out at me while I was online browsing. I couldn't resist buying some.
For some reason these were really calling out my name. Not sure how I'll use them yet.
Check out some of the other desks over at Stamping Ground with Julia and the rest of the WOYWW group.
Love your mini album and those stamps are so cute! I don't have many "face" stamps, but I like those! Blessings to you! :) Felicia #35
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, The mini album is fab. I don't use stamps very often, as never been that good at getting them to print properly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

ooh fun Stamps Sharon, I have not seen those before. for some reason they give me a steam punk vibe almost. So that is a surprise that I have not seen them before. :) ~Stacy #34
ReplyDeleteGreat looking album. I've got some Christmas projects to do, but I'm drawn to Halloween stuff at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. I love those stamps too - very versatile. It reminds me that I bought some new stencils a while ago and not used them yet. More hours in the day needed! Ali x #10
ReplyDeleteA great start to your mini album. I suppose we should all be starting 'Christmas' soon - I always leave it 'til the last minute!

Great Mini album. I have started my Christmas cards but it's been very slow going and need to do some batch making or they will never get done in time. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteGargoyles are my fav! Nice mini album. Please share some pics when done.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

That mini album is so clever... I find minis so much faster and more fun to complete! The colors and textures are very nice, perfect for gargoyles, so I'll be watching for a completed project update! Have a great week! Heather #40
ReplyDeleteLove your stamped images! The mini is lovely! Very vintage looking--great color combo! And those stamps you found?...Uhm...I think they are calling my name now. ;) LOL! (Jen #16)
ReplyDeleteNice mini album. Love those stamps! I am like you I don't know why but they seem to call to me. Isn't he the artist that used to do collaborative work with Tim Holtz? Hope you have a good week. Vickie #2
ReplyDeleteI was only just looking at some other stamps by Brett Weldele the other day. They were cloud stamps. I am trying to decide how much I need them :) I like your mini albums.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,

I love the mini album, those pages are great and will really compliment the gargoyle pics I'm sure. Great new stash, I haven't seen them before but I'm sure you'll get loads of use out of them, they look very versatile. Thanks so much for stopping by my desk, I hope you have a great week,

those stamps are just awesome, thx for your visit and yes it is nice to craft together with my son, although it can be stressful at moments :-) Vicky
ReplyDeleteGreat album and it will be great to see how you use the stamps. I can remember hunting all over the world for a stamp that called to me and I still like it.

I love your mini-album, Sharon, and how the pages fold out like that. The papers are great, and I'm sure the gargoyle pics will look great in there! Hope you show us once it's complete.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment. Yes, follow-up appointments are the order of the day after scans. No cancer showed up, thank goodness, but they found some small clots in my lungs so I now have to start taking aspirin to thin my blood a bit - it's not a major problem. Glad you like my Zentangles and beetroot-dyeing experiments.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Adorable mini-album. Thanks for visiting me BJ#37
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, well you certainly are busy all those lovely backgrounds in your mini album. Mmm it's funny how things call your name while leaping out at you!! :) Shaz in Oz.x 14

Can't wait to see how your mini album turns out when it is decorated. Interesting shape, I love books that meander.
ReplyDeleteCan see where you are coming from with those sketchy stamps. I have several sets with the men on but so far have resisted those ladies.
Have a lovely week and thanks for stoping by my blog when I was away.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Loving your fold-out pages! It's great to make themed albums - it's so neat to have the pages arranged around one topic. Interesting that you chose gargoyles! Would love to see it when ready! Great new stamps too - have fun with them! zsuzsa #22
