What a Crazy Week!

I'm not going into the politics of it but what a crazy week! Things are shutting down left and right and people are shopping like there's no tomorrow. I am definitely not a people person so not being around crowds is fine by me. I'm hoping that will also mean that maybe so many people won't be out and about and things will be quieter. That's one upside for an introvert like me.

Weather wise the week has been blah. There has been sunshine but grey days too. I suppose that's part of spring. I can definitely tell that there is an upshift in the number of brighter days. It does make my mood a little lighter. I was up early again today for another sunrise. I was quite tired yesterday, went to bed early so woke up early and then I started to think about things and - of course - then I couldn't go back to sleep!

I actually remembered to pick up my photos today from the shop so I finished my February pages for my monthly album. I have been meaning to pick up these photos since the beginning of the week and several times have walked into the supermarket meaning to pick them up and walking out without them!

Oh last Saturday I did do my #1day12pics for my online camera club (collage below). On the first Saturday of each month you take 12 photos. It's supposed to be one photo an hour, but these were taken more in two chunks. There are some textures from my walk along the beach on my morning adventure and then from my time sitting in the garden in the afternoon to the moon at night.

Snow Again

I am so glad we had a nice weather weekend AND made the most of it. The snow is back. I saw my garden - dull green and muddy - for a couple of days and now it is covered again.

You can't tell from this photo (taken on my phone when the birds all fled) but the birds were eating like crazy today. They seem to do that when there's a snowstorm. Lately I seem to trust them more than I trust the weather people.

I spent the day indoors. I had big plans to craft and to sort. Epic Fail. I sorted a little bit and got sidetracked looking through some crafty mags. I picked up a book...and then couldn't put it down. I did manage to catch up on some washing so not a complete failure.

I forgot to post photos of my January scrapbook page. A couple of years ago I did an album with a couple of pages for each month. It was a great way to document the months and use up some photos. I'm not sure why I didn't do it last year but I decided to do it again this year as it was such a manageable project.

I think the snow is supposed to stop tonight and they have been through the streets with the snow ploughs so I will probably go out tomorrow. I must admit that when I don't go for my walk the day seems really long! I certainly missed it today. The good thing about the snowfall is that it will have covered up the thick ice that was on the trails at my usual daily walk.

On Track...Maybe?

I managed to get my Mum's calendar, album and her and sisters' cards all done. They are packed up and on their way to England! I'm so glad I got them out. They should be there in plenty of time for Christmas. Next on my list is to get daughter's boxes ready. I was going to sort and start wrapping them up today, but when I woke up (sneezing) my nose started running like crazy and I didn't feel like doing much past the errands I needed to get done (including Post Office to send Mum's gift). So...nope, nothing much more done except usual house stuff. There is always tomorrow! I hope my nose stops running. I'd rather it be stuffed up!

A few pages from my Mum's Wales album. Looking at the photos brought back memories. They make me feel both a mixture of happy and sad. Does that make sense?

Hopefully I'll get a little more done tomorrow. I'm planning on taking some cold medicine and getting an early night. Extra sleep might help!

March 1st already?! WOYWW rolling around again

It's March already! Spring - here I come (hopefully). It's also Wednesday again so time to join with Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Here's my desk

It's as I left it Tuesday night after working on some stuff yesterday. I finally pulled out some of the (many) photos I have and worked on pages. I really need to do something with them and it was one of the goals I had this year.

I also pulled out some Zentangle yesterday. It's been ages since I've done any. I have been really inspired by Shoshi's lovely wooded Zentangle (can't find specific page) that she did. I'm really not that experienced at it so I thought I'd better start doing some again. It is quite fun and relaxing.

I've been taking lots of photos for the A Year With My Camera course I'm taking. I am really learning lots! Went for a lovely walk Sunday (previous two posts) and took lots of pics.

It's dull and rainy here today so I'll be off visiting desks and (hopefully) getting another photo page done!
