March 1st already?! WOYWW rolling around again

It's March already! Spring - here I come (hopefully). It's also Wednesday again so time to join with Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Here's my desk

It's as I left it Tuesday night after working on some stuff yesterday. I finally pulled out some of the (many) photos I have and worked on pages. I really need to do something with them and it was one of the goals I had this year.

I also pulled out some Zentangle yesterday. It's been ages since I've done any. I have been really inspired by Shoshi's lovely wooded Zentangle (can't find specific page) that she did. I'm really not that experienced at it so I thought I'd better start doing some again. It is quite fun and relaxing.

I've been taking lots of photos for the A Year With My Camera course I'm taking. I am really learning lots! Went for a lovely walk Sunday (previous two posts) and took lots of pics.

It's dull and rainy here today so I'll be off visiting desks and (hopefully) getting another photo page done!

  1. I tried zentangle but always felt mine lacked imagination but I never cease to be impressed by the work of other "tanglers" - yours looks lush!

  3. Hi Sharon. Lots to look at here - love the pages you are doing. I'm not really a scrap booker - but occasionally I'll do a page if something really grips me.
Now I'm off to look at some more of your photos...
    Take care. God bless.

  5. Lovely seeing you so busy! I can tell you've been playing with the Depth of Field on your second photo! I like playing with photos too! Thanks for visiting earlier. I got a notification of your comment, but I can't see it on my blog for some reason. I hope it's not a dreaded Google bug again! Happy WOYWW! Zsuzsa #26

  6. Hope we get to see the finished zentangling. I love doodling but I haven't done any zentangling for ages. I tend to stick with small areas of stamped images although I'm always amazed by some of the works of zentangle art I see online. Sarah #24

  8. Hi Sharon, yes Shoshi does some wonderful Zentangling, I agree. It's funny, I used to do it years ago, before it got a name! I'd be sat on the phone to my Mom, and could easily fill a page or two whilst listening to her, as I rarely get a word in edgeways! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XXX

  13. I used to do a lot of zentangles in my journal. I like doing them in the summer when I can wile away the warm summer days on the porch! Maybe I will do some more this summer. I find it helps to have zentangle pattern samples readily available so I don't have to think too much! Yours looks great! The more you practice, the better you get! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #40

  14. Gorgeous Zentangles. I love doing it but Find it difficult to sit down for long enough and you really have to concentrate. Yours looks lovely so far and hope we get to see the finished piece. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 21

  26. Lovely to see you tangling, Sharon (and yes, for the info of anyone reading this, apparently the correct verb is "to tangle" rather than "to zentangle"). I think this is the particular one you were thinking of: http://shoshiplatypus.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/tracings-for-mamhead-album.html and also here: http://shoshiplatypus.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/woyww-381.html. I love your woodland photos. A walk through the woods is one of my favourite things, particularly in the spring, when there is a carpet of bluebells under the pale new leaves of the trees. Pure magic! Thank you for your visit and your kind words - I am so grateful for everybody's good wishes for my recovery. I am feeling a little better each day but after washing my hair this a.m. and helping my hubby change the bedding and sorting the laundry that was it! Totally wiped out!! I'm really looking forward to being a lot stronger so I can get back in the studio again and start having fun.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
