Wednesday

Time to join up with Julia and the gang over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

This was my desk Tuesday when I left it. I spent all my Tuesday crafting time working on my Mum's calendar. I managed to fill in all the dates and months, laid paper for the background of each page and started putting a couple of photos down. It's time consuming but Mum really loves getting this each year. I've been making one for her more years than I care to remember. Getting harder as my 'kids' are no longer little and photos seem to be fewer each year.

Next to the album you can see a template for the cracker boxes I like to make. This is a wonderful (and easy) template I found watching a very talented lady Dawn's Inspirations. When I first started watching youtube and tutorials hers were some of the first I see.

I did get some other projects done this week. The photos aren't the best as I did them quickly on my phone.

More of those lovely little cracker boxes.

Two more shaker cards. I like how these turned out.

Not sure how much more crafting I will get done this week. Thanksgiving is tomorrow so I'm off to my MILs. My middle son and daughter are working though daughter might be able to come down after work as she will be starting at 5am in the morning. Middle son has a later shift (he works at a newspaper putting together stories and pages) but he does have the weekend off so is coming to visit then. Oldest son will be able to make it.

Hope Americans have a lovely Thanksgiving and enjoy the time they get to spend with families.

  4. Good morning Sharon. Great job on getting so much done on your moms calendar, I have always wanted to make one but always run out of time mostly never getting to that. I love your cards must scrap lift the window one from you as that one looks great and yippy a snowmen my weakness.lol. The back of your desk looks busy with project done or waiting to be done.....mine you can't see as it sits on the floor and the other table...must clean that up before it gets out of hand or blocks my oldest daughter bedroom door again. Have a fantastic week and thanks for visiting me earlier. Hugs always ~Anne L#2

  9. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family :-) You're right about the lack of photos as your kids get older, I'm the same...hardly any since my boys were in their late teens. That's got to change!

  16. The cracker boxes are just lovely - what a fab way to give a gift. I love the shaker cards too - very effective but they sound tricky to make. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving - my brother in law is American but lives over here so we always make a bit of a thing about it to make him feel less homesick!
Thanks for the earlier visit, sorry I'm late getting round this week,

  18. Gorgeous projects, Sharon - how nice that your mum appreciates what you make - unfortunately mine does not!! Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm sorry to hear that your poor kitty is suffering so much with the cold! All of a sudden ours are mega-interested in us and sitting on our laps, and all through the summer I got ignored! Just goes to prove that it's all about warmth and probably less about affection lol! That's cats for you... My cleaning lady was here yesterday while all that cooking was going on and she said the house smelt delicious but being in the middle of it, I couldn't really smell it! I had a great day and really enjoyed doing it. Thank you for your kind words about my digital art - I love my iPad Pro - it's one of the best things I've ever bought. My oncology appointment this a.m. was fine - she is very pleased with me, and I'm feeling pretty well, and delighted to be cancer-free 18 months on from my surgery, and a year on from my all-clear after 6 months of chemo. All good news. She'll see me again in 6 months.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  21. What a lovely idea to do a personalized calendar for your mum each year! I know what you mean about the lack of suitable photos as the kiddies get older. I used to take photos of my son when he was a baby practically every day - now maybe once a month if that. Love your cute cracker boxes and shaker cards! Hope you had a nice family gathering. Thanks for visiting and sorry it took me a while to get back. Hope to see you next week again! zsuzsa #22
