What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

It's Wednesday again (not a good one) but it is time to join Julia over at Stamping Ground for WOYWW so there is a bright spot in the day. I don't do politics but I'm just....gobsmacked. As an immigrant I'm feeling a little uncomfortable this morning.

Anyway...life goes on. My desk sadly doesn't look a lot different from last week.

However I have been getting some things done.

A few fun cards. You might see some Christmas shaker cards on my desk next week as that's what I'll be making for my close family this year.

And a few pages in my Mum's mini-album.

I'm off out to lunch with a few friends and between I'll be hopping around the blogs looking to see what everyone else is up to. Hopefully they'll be fun and cheery! Bright side - all the ads will be over!

  1. A messy desk usually means we are getting things done, Sharon! Enjoy your lunch; sounds better than going to the dentist, which is where I am headed! #43

  5. Love your cards, Sharon - really fun! You've got a nice lot on to keep you occupied! Thank you for your visit and your nice comment - such kind words. Glad you like my efforts. I feel there's still a lot to learn before I feel confident drawing shiny things but I'll get there in the end.

    Happy WOYWW,

  6. Lolol, I adore the Christmas spirit card!! I guess that's how many people are feeling this morning after the shock win. It was the same here after Brexit - I unfriended people on FB because I couldn't stand the backbiting and sniping. I hope that it hasn't divided the country too much....

  7. Those are fun cards - they sound more British than American. Trump is thought to be better for Brexit Britain, but we'll see. Obama wanted to send us to the "back of the queue". Lovely page for your album - scrapbooking is so worthwhile - I should really get back into it. Thanks for visiting earlier. Hope you'll cheer up as the week progresses. zsuzsa #30

  14. the bigger the piles the more I produce most of the time. Sharon, I wouldn't worry too much about the election results. If you go back far enough in any of our (American mongrel) histories, we are all immigrants or their descendants. ~Stacy #50

  15. Some great sentiments there Sharon which certainly made me smile. Would be hard to choose a favourite amongst all of your cards. Am sure anyone who gets one will be more than pleased when they open the envelope.
Don't think you have any worries if you are thinking of you as being an immigrant but I must admit I was worried as to the outcome of this election, still am. Hope things don't change much for you all.

  18. I really love the cards, so funny! The top one is the one I love most... and yes, we all needed a drink after the outcome of the elections. Dutch people are in shock too... but as you say, life goes on. Keep on rockin' dear, happy woyww. Marit #15

  21. You know Sharon, even Trump is an immigrant the only ones who aren't are the American Indians, but think that's lost on the new president elect. My comment was I don't get American politics. I really don't. Obviously lots voted for him but weren't going to admit that to the pollsters.
Great fun desk, I love it and such a cute penguin card too!!
Happy belated WOYWW! Thanks for sharing,

  22. I've spent a lot of time this week sorting my stash. It really needed it. I don't have a desk, so I have to put everything away every time. Of course I tend to dump things anyhow on the shelf unit where I store my 'bits'. There were lots of things I forgot I had!
