It's the end of the week!

Another morning walk. We had some freezing rain last night and then a dusting of snow, so everywhere was a little icy this morning. It took a while for the car to warm up and the ice to melt. I did manage to make it up the hill and drive to the park. My road was the worst of it as they had been out putting salt on the main roads so they weren't dreadful, just iffy. Luckily, the road I have to go on only has a speed limit of 30mph so it's slow going anyway. I hate driving on anything like this, but it's more the other people that worry me rather than my driving.

A dusting of snow at the stream

I was rather fascinated by looking for tracks in the light snow. I was the first one who had walked at the park in the morning and they were so easy to see. I need to see if I can find a bargain book on tracks as I'd like to know what made them!

Just a few taken with my phone

I admittedly did not get as much done today as I wanted to do. I've been having trouble sleeping and just feel drained by the afternoon. I don't take a nap, though perhaps I should just listen to my body and do it. As it is, it's barely 9pm and I keep nodding off!

Hopefully more will be done tomorrow!

    1. They really fascinate me. I would like to know what they are so I can see what uses the trails. It's rather funny as most of them were on the actual trail as though the animals and birds use it too!

  2. Lovely to see tracks in fresh snow - as long as it's not something big and vicious!
I think the last one might be a rabbit or hare.
    Hope you feel better today

  3. Ice and then snow over sounds very dodgy indeed. Well done for such good driving. I hope you find out what the tracks are - could you look online?
I often have a snooze (power-nap???) in the afternoon - it helps a lot. xx

    1. It is worse than driving or walking on just snow. Sigh. It's those up and down temperatures. I tried looking up a couple but I'm still not entirely sure lol.

My husband is really good at 'power-naps'. I just wake up grumpier than ever which is why I usually don't take them .

  4. Sending hugs. This may sound a bit out there, but I think that cold weather at this time of year depletes you more than anything. It's like all the reserves have gone. I hope that you get good sleep.

Those tracks are fascinating. If you find out what they are, will you share? It's very intriguing. All I'm likely find here are some sarcastic sparrows, a few rats and next door but one's out of control dogs (who are sweeties really).

    1. Thanks. I don't think the weather helps my mood. It is draining.

I will do! I'm going to either see if my son has a book on tracks or I might just give in and buy one!
