Almost hyperventilated in the store today - yikes - I had to really concentrate to slow my breathing.

Got to admit - this was me. I felt like I was touching my face a lot more than usual. Oh well. I suppose it might get easier.

Had lovely weather the last couple of days, but tonight the rain is moving in and tomorrow is going to be all rain. I am going to go into my craft room and try to finish up the mini album and work on another one. I have to find something funny to watch to take my mind off things. I usually listen to YouTube (and sort of watch the videos lol) but there seem to be a lot more ads and some of them are...well, not nice politically. I am trying to escape a little, not listen to more ads.

I am going to do some sorting tomorrow if it does rain all day. I'm going to say it here so I actually do it. Ask me how it went lol.

Hope everyone is well and staying relatively sane.

  1. I made a mask which is so close fitting that it doesn't steam up my specs but I can't breathe; the mask sucks in at my mouth and nose making me feel claustrophobic. So I bought a mask and it steams up my glasses so never mind the Covid 19 killing me, I'll probably walk out in front of a car in the car park because I can't see!!

  3. The cartoon is funny! My glasses slip down my mask and tend to fall off! I'm constantly pushing up my glasses! Crafting on a rainy day sounds great. So is sorting. What are you going to sort?

  4. I've been pondering about how to wear a mask that doesn't steam up my glasses. Maybe there isn't an answer.

  5. Have a look online. There are plenty of suggestions for ways of preventing glasses misting up when wearing a face mask. I've no idea if any of them actually work though. Good luck!

    1. I've got a couple of tips. I'm just afraid some of them might make me feel like I'm suffocating even more.

  6. Did you ever notice when you're not supposed to do something, that is when you want to do it...touching face...lol. I slept most of past 2 days...rain, depressing...I think maybe I handled this Covid 19 in a Manic/Depressive way - high speed, cooking, baking, sorting...now, I have all that sorting spread out and too low to work on it. That theory hit me yesterday..."it" is so sad. Neighbors who farm - diary and beef industry....not good.

    1. I certainly noticed touching my face more when I had the mask on - so I didn't feel like I was suffocating and so I could see! I saw that regarding the farmers. It is sad. I'm not a meat eater, but I know that many farms have it tough as it is, this will be bring the end even more quickly for some.

  8. You fold up a Kleenex and put it in around the top of the mask. It gives a bit more space to breath and your breath doesn’t fog up your glasses. Jean from Manitoba

    1. Thanks for the tip! I might try it but I'm afraid it will make me feel even more like I'm suffocating. Apparently I'm not the only one with mask-anxiety.

  9. I am hoping they don't make mask-wearing compulsory here, as masks always make me feel like I am suffocating. I did enjoy your little cartoon, it is so apt :)

    1. That's how I felt!! I must admit that if no-one else was around I pulled it down so I could take a breath! I know I'm not supposed to be touching my face but I felt like I was going to pass out!

  10. Try slipping a small length of very thin wire (like the kind in bread ties use--minus the wrapping) in between the layers of the mask at the point across the bridge of your nose and press into place and secure with a couple of stitches. Or make a small channel of fabric on the mask at that point to hold it--at which point you actually use a bread tie. Helps keep glasses from fogging.
