Just a quick one.
It's rained all day today. No walk. We went out for a drive early in the morning but unfortunately it rained just as I got out to take some photos! The rest of the day was spent indoors. Middle son came up to visit in the afternoon and we watched a few shows and had something to eat.
It might rain tomorrow too so I'm not sure what we're going to do. I do need to meal plan and make some sort of plan for the week. We have two birthdays this week - oldest son on Tuesday and MIL on Wednesday. I am also going to see if I can add something new to my blog. I get lots of ideas and when it comes to posting I draw a blank and end up just talking about life!

Milkweed pods. They make me smile. I love Milkweed plants. They are beautiful all year round. This is the latest stage of the plant. Not long ago they looked like this (pic below), some still do but this is the next stage and signals - to me - the near end of summer.
Butterflies (as you can see) absolutely love them!

Made me smile. We stopped at a small park where there is a ramp down into the water to launch boats. This Amish buggy was there attached to what looked like something that pulled a boat. There were no horses around. It struck us as a bit random and made husband and I both smile despite the rain!
I wonder if the horses pulling the buggy went on a boat ride with their owners!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some rain; that will help cool things down a bit, I assume. By the way, I enjoy reading about your day and life. Enjoy your day, tomorrow. :)
Lol. It makes you wonder, doesn't it? Thanks!
DeleteWe could do with some of your rain, pretty please! xx
ReplyDeleteApparently, there were records set for low temperatures on Saturday (daytime ones). I'm not sure about rainfall, but we've certainly had a bit this year! I'd send you some if I could. My sister said they were due to get some this week.
DeleteBirthdays always seem to come in bunches. I love the pics of the milkweed and the buggy looks awesome. I envy your rain.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'll try sending some of that rain your way! Here it just makes the mosquitoes multiply lol
DeleteWow, those butterflies are absolutely beautiful. Has the rain stopped yet?
ReplyDeleteIt has!
