I did go to the zoo today. The drive was okay. I took the back roads. I missed a turn, but found somewhere to turn around and ended up at the zoo on time. There were only three of us that turned up. The other ladies were nice. I felt a little out of place, but I had a good time walking around the zoo and chatting. I haven't looked at how the photos turned out. It was really hot out and by the time I got home I just wanted to cool off and take a cool bath. I don't think I drank as much as I should of and had a horrible headache when I did get home. It was one of the horrible ones that usually only sleep can help. The house was quiet as husband and son were out so I ended up falling asleep. Of course, that was just as they were coming home. At least the headache was no longer pounding quite so much. I've had one the last few days on and off. I think it really must be the heat and not drinking enough water.
My face had gone down a bit. It is still quite hot to the touch and a little puffy. I've been putting on cream. I don't think it was very noticeable.
Things That Make Me Smile Day 218
The ice cream I had today. Not quite of English standards (lol) but it was really tasty and a much-welcomed treat in the heat today!
The ice cream looks lovely and I'm glad you are starting to feel a bit better. You could be right that dehydration is not helping - the headaches it causes are horrible.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I hope you continue to feel better. xx
Thanks!
DeleteGlad you made it to the zoo and enjoyed the visit. That ice cream looks good to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I went. It was delicious
DeleteI love ice cream and that one looked delish. I read back about your trip to UK, and recognised the places you wrote about. We moved from Suffolk last year to here in Wales, some lovely places there. How lovely to have a bench in memory of your mum.
