It's the end of another week. I've been enjoying the sunshine and warmer temperatures but I'm not looking forward to the sudden temperature drop and ... drumroll... a forecast of snow. We are falling from 75F/24C our high yesterday to 41F/4c tomorrow. That will be our high most of next week. The lows are going to be in the minus numbers. It will take a while for my body to get used to that! I actually had my window open yesterday, tomorrow the heat will have to be on.
I've been busy listing more Ebay. I'm going to slow down on it for a while. I get so many free listings per month and won't do any past that. This is the first month I've even come close to listing that many! I haven't done a lot of sorting the past couple of days, but plan on doing more tomorrow. It's going to be cold, cloudy and snowy/wet-ish so not sure if we're going out or not. Instead, I plan to do a bit of sorting and maybe some crafting. I'd like to get another box packed up for donation so it can get out of the house.
Day 314
The light through the trees. Always makes me smile
Day 315
Up too early.
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteMy, but that is a big drop in temperatures! Bundle up warmly if you do go out!
Thank you! Yes, I had to dig out the big coat lol
DeleteThat last photo looks so cold and bleak. It is beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteIt was the blue hour - just before dawn lol. I was there that early!
DeleteI am also usually up far too early :)
ReplyDeleteYour first photograph is beautiful. Xx
Thank you so much! I have days where I can't seem to sleep and once everyone has left for the day I just end up getting up.
Deletenot sure if my comment went through...
ReplyDeleteNo it didn't lol
DeleteHi Sharon - I. too. live in Michigan, in Brighton, north of Ann Arbor. I had never heard of Asylum Lake, so googled it. It loois like a fascinating place in which to wander, especially to see the beavers. I have never seen a beaver but they look like a fun little creature to watch. I used to wander around the state with my camera, but don't do so much of it anymore because of my age (81) but still have boxes of photos to deal with. It is one of those "one of these days" chores.
ReplyDeleteNice to 'meet' you. They are lovely to watch. We go to the Kensington Metro Park near Ann Arbor. It's such a lovely place to visit, lots of birds and, in the spring time, a lovely Heron rookery. I have boxes of photos to sort through - it's fun to look back on memories.
DeletePeople post pictures on facebook of the birds at Kensington eating right out of one's hand. I haven't done it but friends do. I have a multiple station bird feeder which I am just getting ready to fill again after abandoning it because of the grackles and blackbirds last spring. Of course all the seed I have has gone stale so I have to clean out the containers and buy more. A birdy friend (a human who knows birds) tells me to use only black oilers and nyjer seeds as all the other stuff just goes to waste. And of course suet cakes. She gave those of us who volunteer with her at a local public garden, a package of dried mealworms as a thankyou gift. Grin.
DeleteThat's what we do when we go! My husband really enjoys it. I love feeding the birds. They are such fun to watch!
DeleteI don't envy you the cold weather you're due and especially not the snow ... It's too soon for that! xx
ReplyDeleteAfter being really warm, I find the temperature drop really difficult to deal with.
DeleteIt sounds like you have been incredibly busy.
ReplyDeleteThat second pic, just before dawn, is so incredibly atmospheric and beautiful. The first pic is so joyful. Thank you for sharing.
