The weeks just seem to be rolling around (I'm still waiting for the first signs of Spring!) and it's Wednesday again - time to share my messy desk with those over at Stamping Ground.
Well this is it
It's a mess but things are getting done. To the left are a couple of polka dotted mini albums waiting for some photos, a book in the middle that has photos being put in it - complete with journalling - and a couple of other bits and bobs. I have been doing some knitting (last post) and more sorting.
I did finish the card I was starting on last week for my sister
The bird is attached to one of those wobbly things and when it moves the eyes move too.
And another card just for fun
It's really cold here today -9C (15F) so not sure if I'm going to brave it and pop out (hoping the car doors don't freeze!) or stay in and do some crafting. Hope everyone has a good Wednesday!
Your winter looks like to have returned with avengence! Spring is definitely making a tentative return here thankfully, winter was not particularly hard just very tedious and drab. Looking forward to some sunshine :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon. Thanks for visiting already and for your comments. I really enjoyed my time with friends and family, thanks. Can't believe the level of intellectual conversation I now have with my grandies boy are they growing fast!!!. Goodness, it sounds cold where you live - I reckon here on the North Wales coastline, there is a definite change in the feel of the air - spring is coming. Even had bluetits trying out the nesting box this morning, and I have spent time doing gardening! Glad you are busy with your crafting - it means you don't need to think about how cold it is outside...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I don't envy you the cold weather, but at least it's an excuse to stay inside and craft. I love those crazy birds and the verse on the front of the second card. Sarah #25
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to say the sun is shining here today and it's really warm in my sewing room....but it's making me sleepy hehehe I guess you can't have it all. Happy crafting.

Very productive looking desk, lovely cards especially the one with the sweet little bird xx
ReplyDeleteloving the card to your sister and great to get some photo albums done. Thanks for the visit BJ#9
ReplyDeleteAnother Ex Brit living in Texas where i complain that it is cool at 60. This is possibly because the temp goes up and down and the heat comes on then we need AC then off we go___ on off, off on! Friday it should be 80.
ReplyDeleteThe wobbly eyes sound perfect for that bird!
Have a great week and stay warm.

I love the cards - putting the little bird on a spring is a great idea and I love the idea of the googly eyes - I bet is looks really funny. I don't envy you the cold weather, I'm all geared up for the warmer spring weather and getting out in the garden - in fact I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week, keep warm and cosy

Hi Sharon, love the Crazy Bird card, sounds a great way to use it too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz#8, XxXx
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. You certainly have some winter. We are returning to wind and rain from tomorrow, which I am not looking forward to. We have lots of spring flowers out here and the grass is growing (I am mowing our little front lawn once per week now). I would stay in and keep warm if you can. Ali x #27
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteLike your birdie card! I like winter but would still be inclined to stay indoors and craft :)
Hi Sharon. I should stay in and make card, sounds good to me. We had loads of snow in France while we were away but no where near as cold as where you are. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy crafty woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteHey Sharon, I love the google eyes on your sisters card that is fun. Stay Warm! ~Stacy #43
ReplyDeletelove the crazy bird card! thanks for visiting and enjoying the stamps! Helen #'1
ReplyDeleteHope you stayed warm and had a lovely day crafting!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you have made, Sharon. The quote on the second one reminds me of that old song "You're the cream in my coffee" which I really love - I think it's from the 20s or 30s. I love the idea of the wobbly bird with the wobbly eyes too! What fun. Your desk is looking pretty organised. I've got loads of photos to sort out and to scan and I've been putting it off as it's such a marathon task!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your lovely comment. I'm so glad you like my Zentangles and Infusions pieces - it's so nice to be doing things once again! And thanks also for your good wishes - I'm feeling a lot better now.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #32
Cor Sharon, I expect you are looking forward to some signs of Spring, gosh that is still cold, and others are talking of daffodils and sunshine! Brrrr. Your desk doesn't resemble the mess I make, and you're doing more than one thing at once, so I'm going to let you be the winner this week!
ReplyDeleteWe are at -10C today - and I have chosen to wear my flannel jammie bottoms, my comfy reading socks, and a sweatshirt - not going anywhere! Your wobbly bird card looks like lots of fun - I love the colours! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #39
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that birdie :) The googly-eyes give it such a character-full expression :)
ReplyDeleteLovely crazy bird card a great sentiment on your second card. I don't think I would cope in your cold weather. have a crafty week.
